Eighth Death! 

Our next tribute to die was Kyle, from District 9 (a.k.a. Samurai Jack, not the alien movie). She got taken by Insta-Death! And also loss of tickets. Another overkill!

Since she didn’t answer anything to her death prompt, I’m not really sure what to say.

I guess she got mad?

Either way, we’re now down to 18 tributes!

Sixth death! 

Another one bites the dust! This time it was Tessa, tribute 10.2

She was taken by a poisonous spider bite, which lead to loss of her last ticket. The irony of it is that she could have survived if she used one of her several knives to cut the bite open and bleed out the poison.

Our official “Summary of the Tribute’s time in the arena” writer (a.k.a. Ara) is on a hiatus still, so her summary along with the deaths of 11.1 and 4.2 will be posted in a master post when she comes back!

We’re now down to 20 tributes.

Fourth and Fifth Deaths! 

We are not very sad to announce the deaths of tributes 8.1 and 3.1. They didn’t respond to any prompts sent for two weeks, and died a very slow and painful death from just lying in their respective areas. We should also mention we sent them a few prompts, and their death was not caused by the hiatus thing we’ve got going on.

We are down to 21 tributes alive.

Third Death 

Sadly, the area has claimed the life of another one of our unfortunate tributes. 

It was not death by starvation, or by an attack from a tribute that claimed the life of our District 4.2 tribute, Kristi, but the attack of an animal. 

As she bunked down for the night in her sleeping back in a cave in Area 14, she was attacked by bats who contained a genetically modified form of rabies, courtesy of your good friends, the Game Makers. She quickly fell into shock before her heart stopped. Though, not sure if I am pleased to say that this occurred while she was sleeping, and experienced the much desired ‘death during rest’ that so many people crave. It is highly unlikely that she felt any pain. 

You may mourn her passing if you so desire. Otherwise you can listen to the sound of the cannon and just feel sorry for the poor sod. 

We are now down to twenty three tributes still alive, whether they are still kicking, that is up to you to decide. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Second death! 

This time fate has claimed Hallie, a District 11 tribute!

She was killed by vicious undertows of a river on the Northern Mountain Range.

Her death was caused by loss of tickets and, quite frankly, extremely bad luck.

Ara shall update soon with an summary of Hallie’s brief time in the Arena!

First tribute death! 

I’m glad (?) to announce we hit our first death today, just by the end of June 12th!

The deceased tribute was Dott, the second tribute for District 12.

Not only does she have the honor (??) of being the first to die, but she also managed the impossible: A double death!

She both lost her tickets and was picked out for the Instant Death on the same day. The odds most certainly were not of her favor!

We are now down to 25 tributes and entering the first night on the Arena. Things are about to get real!

Dott started out the games by fleeing to the forest, rather than attempting to collect the sleeping bag. However, once she reached the forest she changed her mind and instead move to the mountain range. There she chose to begin her climb by taking the “gentle incline”, which triggered an avalanche. This resulted in her first ticket loss. By this time she has already turned down several “food prompts”, and as such was on the verge of starving. Her sponsors had not collected any gifts for this district, and as such they couldn’t save her from this fate, so she lost another ticket. She had also been randomly selected as one of our instant death tributes, so this situation was just a slight overkill. But in hindsight, by dying of both her own doing and the insta-death she actually saved another tribute from this weeks insta-death pick. So congratulations Dott, for dying first, and unwittingly saving one of our other tributes.

One small update, 

We are dissolving the “current continuance”. It will instead be included in the weekly posts. You will see in just a moment when I begin with a couple of my posts.

I will leave the current continuance page up until the rest of the weekly posts get out (so, within the next couple of days).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 

We, at the Fandom Hunger Games headquarters, have felt disappointed by these past two weeks. Not a single tribute have breathed their last breath… You can hardly call it the “Hunger Games” if no one dies.

So, we have devised a way to… Kill off tributes. As this is a game of odds and a game of death we have chosen to integrate the two.

Each week we will select two tributes to die. Instantly. No amount (or lack of) tickets will save them from their untimely death.

This is in effect immediately (although we will be waiting until day two or three to kill these unlucky souls).

We will stop killing off tributes in the final stages of the games. Perhaps either when half of the tributes are dead, or when ten tributes remain. This is still up for debate.

We urge tributes to still carefully answer theirs prompts, as you never when the oods (what. guys. i don’t watch doctor who. come on.) odds will be in your favor.

Hey guys! 

So Sunday is technically going to be a null day, but it doesn’t quite work like that.

In order to keep up with the “Mon/Tue”, “Wed/Thu”, and “Fri/Sat” prompts we have to take a day off. Which works perfectly right now since we still have a little bit of catching up to do.

We will not send a prompt on Sunday (unless you are missing one), but we will continue with the normal routine on Monday.
